Fabric covered box construction (Online - starting 5th October 2023)

The first class starts on 5th October 2023 on a Thursday morning at 11am for two hours, we will meet weekly over 3 terms, each of 10 weeks. Dates listed below.
In term 1 you will learn how to construct a fabric covered box approx 12 x 20 x 12 cm. In Term 2 and 3 we will be embroidering the lid of the box with a mix of techniques including a goldwork silk shading and needlelace. You will also be able to personalise with your own colour choices.
This would be a great opportunity to use up threads you may already have in your stash such as goldwork couching threads like Passing, Twist, Rococo, Pearl Purl. Beading wire or cake wire, cotton or silk embroidery threads, fine lace or crochet threads, fine silk wrapped gimp, and embellishment materials like spangles, cut purls or beads.
